Belgian or Abby Ales

 

 

Chimay Red - 7% - fruity... nice

Chimay White - 8% - very nice triple.... alcohol is well masked

Duvel - 8.5% - delicate flavors nicely masking the high alcohol

New Belgium Brewing Co.  Abby Ale 7% - nice try for domestic

Hoegaarden - Wit / White - 5% nice nose with coriander and citrus.  wheat is detectable on the finish.  Easy to drink. 

Val Dieu - Abby Brune - quite nice  7%

Val Dieu - Abby Blonde - really dug this one 6%

St. Bernardus Prior 8 - a dark triple - one of my favs 8%

St. Beruardus Witbier - very nice white beer 5.5%

St. Bernardus Abt 12 - probably my favorite beer.  at 10% alcohol it will light you up fast....the only downside to near perfect beer.  

Unibroue Blanche de Chambly - a Belgian Wit / White beer...  nice from Canada. 5%

Unibroue Don De Dieu - a triple wheat ale 9% - my current favorite

Vichenaar - Flemish brown sour ale - very different..... but good

Paulaner Hefeweizen  5.6% mellow but profound wheat flavors

Paulaner Oktoberfest  6%  - lots of barley sweetness with bitter finish

Warsteiner - Dunkel 5% - very drinkable with nice colors and some malt

Frankenheimer - Alt - 4.8%  good flavor easy to drink and nice color

Shiner Bock - very drinkable with nice malt flavors 4.41%

Konig Ludwig – Hefeweisen - yummy. 5%

Hofbrau Lager – nice for a lager  5%

 

Stouts

Samuel Adams - Cream Ale 4.5% - deep and rich.  chocolate and coffee.  sweet up front but bitter on finish.  very nice. 

 

Czech Pilsners

Czechvar / Budvar – pils nice one not too hoppy 5%

Radegast – Premium Pils – nice very drinkable low hops 5%

 

Other

 

McEwan's Scotch Ale - 8%  very yummy.....malty and sweet with no hops it will sneak up on you if you don't watch it.

Moretti - La Rossa - All malt beer.  nice.  a bit sweet and rich.  dopplebock in style.  7%

New Belgium Brewing Co. - Fat Tire - 5.3% - Easy drinkin on tap.  I like.

Odell - 90 Shilling - a bit sweet with malt but well balanced.  Scotch Ale.

Fullers 1845 – fruity and different.  me like. 6.3%
